Decent breakfast buffet. Even contained enough options for someone doing low-carb/keto.

Today I ordered the brookeside Benedict. The description said it had crabmeat on it, when my food came out it had a crab cake on it which paired with the egg and Hollandaise sauce turned into a disgusting mush. I asked the waitress why it has a crab cake and not the crab meat like described, she said “well there’s crab meat in the cake what did you think you were gonna get?”. I told her crab meat like it said in the menu. She said “Oh and walked away”. This would be like telling someone they are getting a steak and serving them ground beef. They should really fix the descriptions because it is very deceiving.

I really enjoyed the food and the quality of food was good i will definitely be back to eat there. Lobster bisque was best i ever tasted filled with large chunks of lobster

Went there on Sunday morning for breakfast the food was great it was nice and hot and the bacon was absolutely delicious

Always a GOOD meal. One of the few places around with a salad bar. But don't confuse with a diner. They have quality food, with great portions, and priced to please all.

Stopped here for lunch and got excited they had chicken pot pie on the menu. I was not overly impressed with my meal. The pot pie tasted like it was leftovers from about a week before, and on the verge of being spoiled. The atmosphere does not seem very professional either. As one of the waitresses turned their back to a coworker, another waitress mocked and mimed her as she walked away, as to make fun of her to the other employees who were around. I do not recommend.

It's always a pleasure to go here for breakfast.

Nice place with a simple menu. Very cheap prices. The breakfast special was under 3 bucks. The service was nice, the restaurant was clean. Great unpretentious diner food serving the North End of Pottstown. I'll eat here again when I visit my sister.

Great soup and salad bar. Service is fast. Nice staff takes care of everything you need. Good portions and If you can finish your meal then you have to look at the pies. Or just stop in for coffee and pie!

Went for the customer appreciation night. We did not order the buffet but off the menu. This is not the first time we have been but it will be the last. The food was so bland it all tasted like nothing..fried shrimp tasted like steamed water, not even shrimp. Chicken croquettes were ok but gravy was tasteless and like a big glob. Just gross to look at. They have a nice little salad and soup bar. Our waitress had a not so nice attitude and never came to ask if we needed anything. I understand that this diner caters to a senior clientele that may have dietary restrictions but wow. Your food should at least have a little taste

Service is fine, but absolutely give yourself time because its slow. Was very busy when we went which may have effected service. Food could use work. Dining areas could use a good scrub. Table was sticky

Far away from home, and found this place. Very nice clean place with great service. There is no nicer salad bar, an 2 kinds of soup. Nice place.

We had a gathering following a memorial service for out of town guests at the restaurant. Service and food and prices were great.

I went here for lunch and had the stuffed founder with crab meat and it was excellent. My main problem was the young blonde waitress that served me. When I first ordered she took my drink option and had her back to me which was awfully rude. Before I could order a soup as an appetizer, she walked away. She only came back once to ask if I wanted a drink refill or extra napkins.

We recently picked Brookside for our monthly get togethers and birthday parties. The staff were great- participated in the party, and made it a very enjoyable evening. The food was great, hot and well prepared. Very reasonably priced too! Service was excellent. Highly recommend this restaurant... and check out their Sunday breakfast buffet! You won't be disappointed!

Sampled the chip beef and the sausage gravy... Sausage gravy had a bit too much pepper for my liking so I ordered the chip beef ( which was pretty good ) and added in the 2 egg special also.. waited for the grill to clear for the basted eggs.. not very long... However the eggs came out with almost a shot glass worth of water on the plate 😔 So I only ate the yolks with my toast. Hash browns were good. Service was fair. Seemed to be more alive or tentative with the regulars then with others. Overall not a bad place to grab some grub.

I have been here at breakfast once and had a burger here for lunch a few times. So much better then the burger king down the road. Makes it seem like the burger peasant. I'm so funny. But on a serious note I would highly recommend going here.

The food was tasty. Took part in the Sunday morning buffet. Wide selection of potatoes dishes. The egg/bacon omelette, and cream chipped beef are worth trying. A little pricey($30+) for two people are and drinks....coffee and oj.The service was polite and professional.

Only ate breakfast there, the food was good, but way pricey compared to other places.

I only gave it a 4 store because I feel I'm just too used to the place because we go there often

The only good thing is the salad bar! Our waitress made us feel rushed and had a bit of the attitude. We complained to the manager and her attitude wasn't that much better. We will not be going back!

I ordered off the menu .. the food was very bland - my son ordered the Buffett and was in need of a restroom 2x prior to making it home. Service was poor .. the manager was rude. I think the only happy customers were the senior citizens who like the cheap prices and were raised not to complain.

This is a great place for breakfast. Reasonable prices, friendly competent staff, delicous food, a spectacular breakfast buffet on weekends. I am not a big fan of diner foods for dinner and wouldn't recommend it for dinner, though lunch is above average as well. They don't skimp on the air conditioning and it's a great place. If the dinner wasn't sub-par I would gladly give it 5 stars

Generally good food and good service. Nice salad bar. My son's steak was well done rather than medium rare. They took it back, no problem. My brothers liver was way over cooked, they took it off the bill. Pretty good lunch and nice atmosphere over all.

Food was hot fast and delish staff is very pleasant great experience

This is the first place my son's choose to go when we want to grab a bite. Good food, great service and wonderful memories with my boys.

I have two kids neither which were given crayons to color with to occupy them. I had to get them myself once seated. We weren't given any extra napkins (with my two kids a necessity). My son ordered pancakes and wasn't given any syrup. The male employees act a little unprofessional for me but considering their age...(young). The manager was nice as well as the waitress. The food was good except for the fact they keep sausage in water which makes it not as tasty. All the flavoring gets washed away. Service could have been better but overall worth the money.

Great diner, rich history, friendly service, and modest prices. all day breakfast is a huge win for me, so I love it! the specials were delicious and they give a ton of pasta; massive portions and a salad bar with soup. my family loves coming here, and I completely agree; can't wait to return ☺

Food was bland and cheap. Ordered sausage and wasn't cooked all the way and was reimbursed. Very nice staff. Most likely won't return.
